Holy Listening Group

Service Description

Facilitated by a trained Spiritual Director, this group quickly becomes a safe space for learning and practicing the art of holy listening, exploring our own stories, receiving the gift of being heard, and witnessing the transformative power of God's presence in community. This is a closed group, meaning no drop-ins are allowed and the same people will be present during each meeting. Space is limited to a maximum of 5 participants. This group will meet for 6 weeks, beginning on November 7th and ending on December 12th. Meetings take place on Friday mornings during that time frame, from 9:30 - 10:30am (1 hour). Each meeting is structured to include a contemplative prayer practice, a time of silent prayer, a time for sharing personal stories, and a time for listeners to reflect what they hear from the presenter. Each week includes a journal prompt and participants have the option to share their writing with the group each week, with the hope that everyone will share at least once. Each session is $15 per person and there are two payment options: One payment at full price ($90), or pay Half now & Half later (two payments of $45). Price includes all 6 sessions and missed sessions are not refundable. This group may be good fit for you if you have had some experience with taking care of your soul, mental health, or spiritual life. Perhaps you are longing to go deeper, or curious about spiritual direction in a group context. Perhaps you spend your time caring for the well-being of others, and you are seeking to prioritize your own soul-care. You are a sacred being and you are welcome here. We will meet in-person at the Selah Studio located inside Restoration Counseling Center. Details forthcoming, after registration.
